There is a topic in the Lounge about this:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...hl=wisdom+teeth

I read it just before I got mine taken out. Heh.

And to answer your questions:
Yes, I've had mine taken in out in March. All four at the same time. They'd be coming out for a while, actually, but it took a while to finally get to the dentist. You should be completely knocked out because of the anesthesia, so you won't feel a thing--at least, I didn't. My mouth was pretty much numb for a few hours, and I couldn't walk at all right after. I think it depends on the person and how much pain they go through, because I really didn't feel anything the next few weeks. It was just irritating to have to pick out what to eat, since I didn't know of any liquid-y food that I could eat, heh. The stitches do in fact dissolve, and you have your pain killer and an antibiotic to help, so you should be fine. The fun part is picking out what to eat wink.gif.

I haven't gotten them taken out yet but my friend did. Look on the bright side, she lost 15 pounds because she couldn't eat solids.

Gahh..I haven't gotten mine taken out yet, but I'm having something similar done in a week or two.

I have braces, and I have crowding in my mouth that could possibly make it so that I can't close my mouth anymore, so they have to take out 4 teeth - 1 in each "quad".

3 out of 4 of those teeth are still not grown in yet!!!

God, I'm sooo scared - I think I'm going to be put to sleep though, but, I've heard bad stories about the needle.

Good luck!!

Oy vay memories....I just had mine pulled earlier this year and it was a whole dragged out process. Around February, my top 2 were pulled while I was awake because they could just numb the mouth. Not to mention they come out easier. The bottom two---the doc refused to take both out at once so that was 2 more trips and more yummy pills. They give you Tylonal and antibiotic prescriptions. I didnt need tylonal until my last tooth and the first antibiotic i had a reaction to which was good because the second one was awesome. 6 pills for 5 days and none of that eat and down a pill ever 6 hours crap. Of course you're gonna be bleeding afterwards but for the 4 th tooth, I tried sleeping with the ice pack between my mouth and the pillow('cause you're gonna be out of it and tired if you're knocked out) and it stopped by time i woke up. It's good to have your wisdom out now because the older you get, the more complications you'll have. Also the first 24 hours you cant have anything hard or hot and on the bottom teeth, you'll have stitches either regular(which requires another appointment) or disolvable(which doesnt and disappears on their own). Everyone's experience is different with wisdom extractions but mine wasnt as bad as i thought but it is a pain in the buttocks.
