Okay, so I was just wondering, how many fellow createbloggers out there like Shakespeare..._smile.gif
What's your favorite Shakespearan play?

(Right now I'm reading A Midsummer Night's Dream, it's really good, I have to make a mask for school, I almost cut myself cutting the gold metal... ermm.gif )

My favorite is this play, but then again, I haven't read many others...what's your favorite?

I just got A Midsummer Night's Dream because I've heard that was also very good.

ive read all his plays and i have to agree that
A Midsummer Night's Dream
is the best one
we did that play at school
even better when it is played out
Romeo and Julliet starts to loose its touch after a while
he has so many other romances so why only this one

Okay, the book was boring...but the movie was so gory. Especially when Macbeth's head was chopped off at the end...ahhh the images. I hate blood.

Romeo and Juliet is a classic.

Hmm. Am I the only one who completely hates Macbeth? I mean, it was very well written (hands down), but something about it made me hate it. Maybe it was the way they taught it to us.. I don't know.

As far as comedies go, A Midsummer Night's Dream wins, hands down. With dramas, I throb.gif Romeo and Juliet and Julius Caesar, but MacBeth owns. Sorry - I'm going to have to disagree with you, Angelina Taylor. sad.gif I loved it when I got to play Lady MacBeth. She's so evil. I love it.

Hrm, I thought I replied here.

I love Shakespeare. I even gave my son the name "Shakespeare" for his middle name. Yep, he'll kill me one day.

My favorite is 12th Night for comedy; Othello for drama.

I haven't had much luck with Shakespeare. I read Romeo and Juliet and I didn't particularly enjoy it because it was just so...mushy. Macbeth was better, but I'm still not getting why Shakespeare was so great. I guess it's all the iambic pentameter. I've been meaning to get all of Shakespeare's work - there must be something I like, right? Haha, I just have issues in giving up on classic authors.

Twelfth Night

I love the plot-line.

I find it funny how some people try to watch or read Shakespear and focus so hard on trying to understand it, that they miss all of the funny parts of the play.

I'll be watching Twelfth Night with a friend and I end up laughing while they look at me like I'm crazy.

^_^;;

I havent read much Shakespear, becuase I usually wait until we do it in school. I really liked Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Nights Dream is my second favorite. I think had I have been in a different class this year, while reading Macbeth, I probably would have liked it...but my class just ruined it for me. They had no interest or respect...and its hard enough to get into it when the teacher is playing the tapes.

But yeah, Romeo and Juliet is my favorite I think.

I've written a novel inspired from "Othello" and would love to get feedback on it!

"Other Plans" by Emily N Ashley is a psychological drama inspired from Shakespeare’s “Othello” exploring one man's descent into murderous madness.

Excerpt can be downloaded from Amazon.com for no charge at:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00124COZM

The PREFACE was unintentionally cut-out and is located in the "product discussions" section near the bottom of the page. Please provide your feedback - reviews of the excerpt are encouraged.

To receive a FREE adobe pdf of a pre-editorial copy of the ENTIRE MANUSCRIPT send an email between now and February 19th 2008 with "free book offer" in the subject line to:

otherplans@yahoo.com

(Note: The adobe file is 175 pages in Times New Roman 10pt font)

Othello and Hamlet.

I reference Othello all the time, and Hamlet was just such a good subject. Life or death...

Romeo and Juliet...is alright. I'm one of those people that think it's the best lust story versus the best love story.
