getting braces for the 2nd time., input? Options

so, i had braces 7 years ago... when i was in 5th grade up until 8th grade. i was an IDIOT back then and chose not to wear my retainers... so obviously, right now.. my teeth are returning to their current state... just my top row of teeth, my bottom is OK.

right now i'm 18 and the thought of me having braces is not very appealing ...but i don't care as long as the end results is great.

so has anyone else here had braces more than once? please share !

I had braces once and got them off last year; May 2nd to be exact.
I wore my retainers a lot (even in school!) but this April they broke and I still haven't gotten new retainers. I'm afraid they're going to shift!

But yeah, now you'll know to wear your retainers and just keep thinking about how perfect your teeth wll look when you get them off!

ok i share in ur agony... braces arent that bad this is my second time havin them piece of advice, do watever the orthodontist says my teeth have straightened so much but i wore my retainer and i now wear bands and braces

Ahh have fun with that.

I've had em twice, but not because I did something wrong. When I was 9, I had an early intervention stage or whatever where they just put braces on my front teeth, not my jaw teeth. I had them for about two years, and had a retainer that was glued in. Then when I was 13, I had braces put back on all my teeth for about a year and a half. And I've been wearing a clear retainer ever since.

I guess my experience is a little different than what you'll be going through. I loved having them, the second time around. Heck, you can change your colors every month.
