I agree with Arjuna. I think marzipan would be a good moderator. I see her around a lot, and she seems nice. I thought she was already a moderator at one point (when I came back)

Elba. I remember when she stepped down and told us she'd be back sometime in July (or something like that. I can't remember anymore). And she's still not back yet. sad.gif

She has lots of experience on People Staff, well respected, very active...in fact, if there were to be another round of hiring staff, Elba should be hired back right off the bat, since she stepped down voluntarily for her own reasons.

Nate (Acid Bath Slayer)
I've always thought Nate was very capable of conducting himself in a manner that wouldn't be too strict, but would be strict enough to still enforce rules, and all without being rude. He's a very intelligent person and doesn't spam. He cares about the forum and is pretty active, especially in threads about decisions that could affect the forum. He has a lot of great ideas and input that he could impart to the staff team.

Very active, very polite. Good substance to posts. I've seen her in almost every forum, so she could do a good job at moderating all over the community forums. Quite capable.

Elba (AngelicEyz00)
I'm one of the only current mods who once had the pleasure of modding alongside Elba, and from what I do remember, she was a very good mod. I was upset when she stepped down. I think that if she limited her spam (which is only a recent development) and posted more of the substantial posts that I've seen occasionally, she would be very welcome back on the staff team.

There isn't going to be any hiring session soon and when it is done it will be by nominations from mods. As for adding anyone on staff at the moment, the time we have to do that is the time when we will need to hold a hiring session. Right now our main focus is on design (blog) postions.

Justin - has been a mod before, was good at it, and is intelligent, and would actually accomplish things

Nate - Same as justin, minus the 'has done it bfore' bit

Elba - Elba makes me laugh, which is good in itself. she also gets on with a group of cb-ers who are 'under represented' if you will, and may be able to resotre calmness to the boards

Sally - Yea, yea she's been warned. but i STILL think she woud be damned good at that job.

Shauna - because i love her, and i think she's shown that sh ecan deal with the cretin brigade.

Nicki - yea, yea, there are a group who 'e-hate' her. they also find it amusing to say 'ho' a lot. let's label them unimportant and proceed to the fact that she was a good-ass mod.

and can i say, i disagree about marzipan... just because i dont see her enough to have recognized her username, which means she isnt contributing anything that stands out to me as inordinately interestng. im sure she's lovely, but modding people because they are sweet is ineffective.
