It's highly doubtful. You could use the plane's special cellular connection, but that's usually expensive and not available on all flights. You're not allowed to use your own cellular device.

It depends on the airline and the plane. I know jetblue recently was allotted frequency for internet on planes, but I dunno if thats supported yet (and if so, on all planes).

I'm thinking, any internet you get will be satellite. I highly doubt its cellular, heh.

On a lot of airlines you can't simply because that can have access to a gps system and give anyone the exact coordinates to the plane. Or something like that...

if you have a satallite card, you might be able to get internet there.

planes are starting to get wi-fi.

if you fly first class, you might be able to get it.

otherwise, i don't know.

What are you guys talking about?
So much wrong and mixed up info.

Actually, most places already have wi-fi on their planes right now, regardless of what class you are in. Only the American Planes I've noticed are the only ones that don't allow this yet.

The Korean Airline Planes stationed in Korea, has some of the best features I've ever seen for a plane. And I was Economy!

They give everybody a touch screen/remote controled monitor, with over 30 recent movies. Tv Shows, they also give you the top hits from around the world. All of the shows except the songs come in 4 languages. Even the GUI is according to the language you specifiy. They even have games, that are also multiplayer. You can play with the next to you, or the guy in the next compartment. It's crazy.

Okay lol right now i am at the airport and i am waiting at my gate i just purchased a 24 hour internet block from the airport for like 7.95 it is awesome i just dont know if it will be continued on the plane. I guessing you can use it but i am not so exactly sure. i will check.

actually i checked on the website of the airline i am traveling on and it says that they offer wireless internet but except on one of their airplanes.....

and they offer a power supply for the laptops and portable dvd players.

I will get back to you all on the plane if I can use it .

This just reminded me of when the Simpsons were flying to Japan and Bart was playing his gameboy. When the flight attendant told him to turn it off the plane started falling and she was screaming turn it back on lol.
