do you every feel like your friends have more money or are prettier than you? i do sometimes. i almost always feel pretty and fortunate when i'm at my house or with family. i think it might be because they love me and i don't have to impress them. but when i'm with some of my friends i suddenly feel like i'm not so pretty. i go shopping with them, to movies, or over to their houses (which are of course huge) and i feel like they have so much more than i do. they shop at abercrombie and lacoste just because they can. sometimes i get sick of it. even though they're my really good friends, i sometimes feel like i'm not rich or pretty enough to hang out with them. everyone says that they'll mature in a year or two and everything will be fine. i really hope so.

has anybody felt like this? what happened?

Anyway, Abercrombie sucks. I hate it. But I loveeeeee Lacoste, they're not that expensive.

Eh, it doesn't really happen to me because I don't get jealous of my friends. I just wish I had a big house. :(

i guess i have felt that way at some point, but learnt to accept my "good qualities" and also the bad. understand that your friends love you for who you are [: or they should, and if they don't, then they really aren't your friends at all.

and there are also others way to be fashionable! abercrombie and lacoste aren't the only stores out there.

I guess my friends were considered the "elite" group in high school. Among us were the valedictorian, salutatorian, student govt president, varsity soccer team members, and so much more. I'm a bit mediocore at best. I know they loved me and they never made me feel smaller than them and all.. but you wish you were as good as them at times. Now we're off to college and most of us are ending up at a local university. But a few are off to Ivy leauges and special programs on full rides. Hopefully I'll find even footing there.

I have nothing to be jealous of when it came to my friends. Beauty isn't everything.

^ agreed.

Nope. I've never been one to be jealous of friends or think I'm less than them. It's just not in me. I'm just really laid back and I don't care. I guess.

Yeah a lot of my friends are more outgoing than I am, I tend to be a bit more reserved and worrisome. I wish I could be like them sometimes.

Well, my friends aren't exactly uber rich and pretty and stuff. I go to a Christian school that costs 3,000 a year, and the majority of them have siblings (some in Christian high schools, which cost like 7,000 a year) So the majority of their parents have already spent almost all their big bucks on school, so we're all pretty even in the money area...

But prettier? DEFINATELY. Skinnier? ALWAWYS. And not just looks, either. It feels like everybody else has such a nice, likeable personality... I don't know... maybe it's because I try too hard. But I mean shouldn't those who try their hardest be rewarded?

One friend in particular. She's absolutely gorgeous, amazingly hard-working, intelligent, friendly and very outspoken. I would hate her if she wasn't such an awesome person.

I don't know, I got to know her a lot better. Beneath all the surface stuff that people see, she's just like any of us. Just as insecure, just as goofy, has just as many problems. I can't hate her. In fact, I love her.

I still wish I was like her, though.
