Not that I've ever asked but..
--Point out all of the things you've accomplished, and have getting your lip pierced as a reward. --Be sure you know all of the facts of piercings and allow for your parents to know that you're aware of the risks of infection. --Don't be pushy about it or childish, so they know you're mature enough to handle a lip piercing. --If they still don't give in, try to come to some sort of compromise, like wait a few weeks and if you still want it then, you parents should allow for you to get one. ..stuff like that. |

Matters what type of parents you have.
Are they like not in to those type or things? Very Strict. I mean my parents wouldn't care because their pretty young. Or well my mom wouldn't care. My Dad would, my dad wants me to stay atleast normal. My mom on the other hand is the one that dyes her like teal and walks out in public. 0_O of course my parents are split up now. But it mattesr what type of parents you have. What Sarah said is very useful though. But just approach them with the question rationally |

Basically, don't try to suck up, just ask nicely. Having your lip pierced is just one of those things.. if they don't want you to do it, they're gonna say no either way, no matter how you ask. It might help to ask when they're in a good mood.
By the way, does your school allow lip piercings? If not, you may have to wait a few years anyway (basing this off of your profile which says you're 14).. |

Just ask! I don't think it'll make much of a difference how you ask. Well, maybe you may want to beg a little. Or not.
I asked my mom today if I could get my lip pierced, or something. I'm 18 already, so it's not like it matters or anything, but yeah. I'd say just ask. |

tell them that you have done so much, and your responsible enuff so they should let you get it done. if they say no, then dont bother them till they forgot you asked lastime. just repeat the process over and over until they say yes.
