heyz im just wondering have any of you gave up drinking and drugz bcz u didnt wanna jeprodize ur new relationship? then you find out that he or she drank. even tho itz not 2 da point dat dey r juz mellow n not drunk... butcha, it kind ob makez u tink n allz. n u neva kno dat u kan drink n allz. blah! im sry if im not amking sense. butcha, have u eva? or iz it juz me over reactin? plz b honest. kdenz.

I've never had to give up drinking or drugs because I've never started. But those two things can hurt a relationship. If someone you know has a problem like that, talk to them about it.

i never gave them up for someone but myself. they weren`t doin anything for me, plus i didn`t like it in the first place. i just wanted to see what everyone was talkin about .. i know i know, stupid reason. but my bf now does do a lot of drinking and smoking. i got him to cut down though so that`s gOod. i make him drink water now, cause i hate soda much less alcohol [other than maybe Bacardi and all], and i got him to cut down on his smokin a lit`l. Once in awhile i`ll drink mainly the girly drinks or whatever else tastes gOod: Bacardi, SkyyBlue [i think that`s what its called, the blue bottle], Vodka and Juice, Jack Daniel`s, Kahlua, and sometimes tequila [but that stuff is hard!!!]. But i never finish my drinks .. i can`t tolerate alcohol for that long.

Well I've never done them in the first place.
But my ex BF quitted smoking coz he knew I didn't like it. And he cut down a lot on his drinking and made sure he never got drunk. |

for me i didnt even STARTED drinkin or drugs! but i have never gave sumthing up juss to make the other person happy... if im happy why cant they be too?

well i used to smoke but i quit within a month but it wasnt cause of any boy, i quit for myself. but thank goodness i did cause my boyfriend now HATES smokers so if i still smoked i would have quit for him. so yeah.

my boyfriend quit drugs and smokin for me.. and then just last month we both quit drinking. he quit cuz he was drinkin wayy too much and i quit cuz i wanted to support him.

yeah you all do make sense. and im glad that my bf and i had a talk about it lastnight. and yes you shouldnt have to change for anyone but yourself.

Never did any of the above ...
It's not my thing ... But if I were to give up something for my bf it would be something that I know will improve my well being ... I wouldn't give up something because someone told me to do so ... If I knew that it wasn't good for me and I knew that that person was only trying to help me quit because they cared ... then yes, I would do it both for them and myself ... |

I only drink at parties and don't do drugs but one time this guy told me he didn't like it that I drink. Well I just ditched him cause honestly i'm doing this for myself and i'm not about to change something for him. Maybe I just didnt like him enough but I don't think changing your lifestyle for someone is good for yourself. Unless of course that thing is harmful to you, but drinking occasionally causes no harm.

thankz allz. yeah everyone is different when itz time for a change. and changing shouldnt be for someone it should be for yourself. i alwayz knew that but sometimez i need reasuing and allz, thankz.

kids our age shouldnt be smokin n drinkin in the first place.. but i cant really say anything cuz i smoke when i can & drink when i have a bad day.. but its nothin serious. i dont think theres anything wrong with an occasional splurge, just make sure u kno what your doing & u kno your limits.. and make sure you dont let it get outta hand.
but you shouldnt do something just cuz someone else wants you to. i mean if its a serious relationship and you really care about the person and they want you to stop for YOUR OWN good.. then thats ok.. if they're willing to help. if its a lil 2 week fling and the guy/girl doesnt like smokers then thats they're problem.. not yours. ya kno? |
