so i recently got black boy at borders since i needed it for summer reading for my junior year. were only reading book one and then reading the second part later on next year. im only on page 26 now but so far, its been a really good and really fast read. the little boy is taught valuable lessons by his mom is its kinda sad since theyre so poor and the white people kinda use him to laugh at at his moms work.

have any of you guys read it? what did you think of it?

It is a fantastic book. Easy to understand, well written, and brings up many truths in society.

I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. I'm taking junior year AP language and composition so I have to read "An American Childhood" and "This Boy's Life" both are memoirs.
