I'm just wondering, for most girls (13-15), what do you think a normal weight should be? I weigh around 115. I do think I'm fat, to be perfectly honest. Though my friends say it's average and I don't look fat at all. But I wanna know other girls' opinions. What do you think is okay?

It doesn't really matter if I think your weight is okay, does it? I mean, we're Internet peers. You shouldn't care what we think.

If you really want to know if your weight is fine for your height, go see your doctor or mention your weight during your routine physical. I used an online BMI calculator and freaked out about it because it said I was overweight. But, when I mentioned it to my doctor, she said I was average. The BMI isn't always accurate, because it doesn't take your muscles into consideration.

If you're around 5'3" to 5'6", 110-120 seems to be a good weight I guess. I have no diea but most of my friends are around those ranges.

i think it depends on where your weight is distributed. some gurls can weigh a lot, but if the weight is distributed in the right areas, or in areas where it will look nice, they will not look fat. but nontheless, i dont think you should be worried, 115 sounds perfectly fine gurl

You're fine. Dont worry about it happy.gif

You cant just go by height... like someone already kinda said, if you have no butt or chest, you're going to weigh alot less than someone who does. And vice versa.

BMI's aren't always the best thing to look at to be honest. Because you can obviously tell that people like Tom Cruise aren't overweight although if they go by their BMI it says they are wink.gif

I think during most people teen years your body is changing so much and thats why a lot of girls think their fat. You've also gotten your period which at a lot of times makes you seem more fat because your bloated, etcetera etcetera.

I think anyone from the ages of 14-16 as long as they don't weigh anymore than 160 lbs I think their doing just fine. And as long as they don't weigh less then 90lbs either.

115lbs sounds pretty normal if your around 5ft to 5ft-3 as well. At least in my opinion, and as long you eat healthy then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

If you really think your fat though then why not do something about it? Go work out and eat healthier and perhaps ever get a meal plan. Don't snack on junk food and snack on fruits and veggies.

IN MY OPINION, I think it ranges from 90-140.

Although, when I was 16 and very healthy, I was 88 lbs. shrugs* Now I'm around 95.

A healthy person should be able to run up two flights of stairs without being tired or short of breath. I think health is more important than weight alone. There are many factors that go into weight, like muscle and sports, etc.

If you're 15 or above you should be at MOST 90 pounds, everyone knows that. Its best to have a BMI of around 12.

You know, I honestly wouldn't go for the whole BMI thing. We were talking about this in my psych class, and the studies always say how three in every ten Americans is obese. They base this on the BMI, which takes into account your weight and height. It doesn't factor in how much of that weight is muscle versus fat. ermm.gif I don't know, but learning this kind of gives me doubt in trusting it. Eh.

Really though, I'd say an "okay" size is just whatever fits you best. Whatever you're most comfortable in. And healthy.

Honey, STOP SAYING YOU'RE FAT. My god. You're 13 or 14 or 15 or however old you are... unless you're seriously short, like 5'0" or shorter, then no, you are not overweight. I've never seen you, so idk what your build is, but just be aware that muscle is a helluva lot heavier than fat.

depends on height. But really there isnt an okay or a good weight, its all up to how you feel. Doesn't matter what others think.
