Lol I sware this will be the last layout i'll be using for awhile. This is my 3rd div layout this week.

Anyways, its a layout featuring one of the guys from the Artic Monkeys. Any comments or suggestions? I feel like the font style and colors dont really go with the layout. And I feel like the swan picture is really out of place.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2. the ppicture you choose is really good

DISLIKES:
1. i think you should change the table colors to lighter shades of the same colors you have now to better match the picture
2. make pictures for your contact links instead of just words
3. put another picture like the swan one, farther down in the about me section, and aligned on the right instead of the left.


oh, you can could easily put your song in a simple one line player using mygen.co.uk or something, and put that where the scrolling marquee is instead.

Those are some really good suggestions... things that I will definately change.

Oh, and may I ask, where did you get your music player for your myspace? Lol... i've tried putting radioblog and other music players on my myspace, but I can never seem to do it right.

im actually using this really unique player where you can make the background any .jpg picture you want and change the text/font colors as much as you want, its really unique, the only thing is that the playlist.xml file you have to do a lot of typing, but you can find the instructions here:

I'm not sure if it's intentional or not but the background for the picture is not 000000 black. It's 040D10 black, so it doesn't blend in well with the background.

Luckily it's an easy fix. Unless you're against using non-"web" HTML color codes.

instead of the same thing
and just changing pictures and colors

because aparently this layout type isnt working at all

if you like this type of layout keep it. but i do think you need to look over your coding and find out why the other stuff isnt hidden, becuase in bigger resolutions it doesnt look right.

Overlays usually wont hide all content on higher resolutions.

yeah i remember you told me the same thing, and i listened and now i love my layout.

I like it, but i would make the tables a little bit lighter to match the picture more...
Also you're covering up the MYSPAE ADS. which to warn you, you could get in trouble for..
so maybe try adding them back? and moving the layout down some?

Well, there's no reason to be so negative. Its not like your layouts are much better. This is only my second one with tables like this. My last layout didnt have that problem after I fixed it. While I respect your opinions, try being a little more positive towards others.

Yeah, I know my coding isnt exactly perfect... lol.
I'm not going to change my layout style just because one person doesnt care for it.

you took my advice and changed the table colors? cool! it looks good.

now you just need to change the background color to match the background color of the picture, and your layout will be sweet.

Horizontal scroll shows your old myspace, Like holly pointed out.
But other than that I like it.... maybe you should've used some brushes or more images.

Ahhh darn it. I still cant seem to get rid of the comments and blog stuff that are showing. I used a script that was supposed to hide all of that.

Thats what I wanted to do originally. I first planned on blending several different images, but I still cant get the hang of how to do it.

^ Well once you get used to blending and such, I think your layouts will turn out really nice.. so keep practicing.
