I've been through moving plenty of times. I've moved a few times but I haven't had any great memories. I just wanted to forget.
You have 44 days left, make the most of it. I looked at Mapquest, Dallas is only 3 hours and 41 minutes away. It's not that far away... Plus, they're big cities so you can probably take a Greyhound or something directly back to Dallas to visit. Also, since they're big cities you're bound to make plenty of new friends. Just be true to yourself and be who you are. Don't worry too much. Moved to Lounge. I'm not sure if it goes there so if any mod disagrees, go ahead and move it elsewhere. |

Heh, I live in Houston. :3
Yeah, like Chii said, it'll be super-easy to visit Dallas from Houston. Besides, Houston is a pretty cool city. It all depends on where you move. |

Yes, listen to your mother and keep a positive attitude. That'll help quite a bit. The whole thing will only be as bad as you think it will be. Plus, you get to meet new people, and probably keep your old friends. After all, it's only about 3 hours and a half away.
Pretty much, keep positive about it. It can get pretty bad if you don't. |

Just be yourself- I'm sure you're a really likable person. Make new friends, join some clubs, just get to know everyone. It doesn't really matter where you live, it's just how you interact with the people around you. If you keep a positive, friendly attitude, you're bound to make some friends.

All my life, I've moved. The first time, that I can really recall from memory, was hard. I cried, tried to make the best of the time I had left with my friends, and so forth. I say, although your moving, keep in contact with the friends you have now, either through letters, calling, or IMing. Maybe even a combination of those.
![]() But in time, just expect that there's a chance you could lose touch..moving on with life. Don't worry, you'll make new friends, and come to appreciate the new place you could possibly be moving to. And it is true, IMO, that if you keep an positive attitude about things, it'll seem a little easier. Even if it's not by all that much. ![]() |
