text won't center!!!, using divs, absolute positioning....

You need to position your DIV, I can't really do it right now but PM me later and I'll fix it for you.

hey, i don't think it's got to do with those?
cause those are just for later in the blog entries when i do make a div with those properties...=S thanks though...
cause i basically used my old xanga code...but everything was aligned right instead.

Your DIV tags aren't finished.

<div style="top=500px; position=absolute;">

You need to specify the position and dimensions of your DIV, like:

<div style="position: absolute; left: 134px; top: 414px; height: 100px; width: 400px">

hi, but i don't specify the positions if i want it centered...

and i need the text on top of the image, therefore i need to use position: absolute....
thanks

oh and those div tags were just for like a scrolling box for convenience when i want them in my entries

What KIND of text aligned center? Blog text aligned center, whole shebang aligned center, image text aligned center.... Yes. There are many different kinds.
Because using center alignment is a lot easier. mellow.gif It centers pretty much everything.

yes, everything aligned

well the position, i don't want the actual text centered if you know what i mean. i want it to be centered-in line under the image...but i don't want the text ITSELF to be aligned center

i did try using just <center> but it didn't work..
i think i do need the position tag in the div cause i want the text to be on top of part of the image
