The running water is cold tonight
While the night sky bathes the world with darkness As my eyes invision the devious plot Oh how beautiful she looked With the moon's gaze gracefully enlightening her Unaware of my lurking presence Creature of the night living among shadows Silencing the hearts of the ignorant Hear the the steps of the demon Thundering silently in the silhouette's sanctuary A demeanor so intriguing The fair lady's heart beats faster She hears the demon but fails to see Blinded by night's embrace "Who's there?" cried her wary voice Her innocent face, innocent life Infuriating innocence The raging passion To show her the real world The real price The real mask of innocence The desire to bask in her blood Became uncontrolling The key to her death grasped by the palm of my hands Creep oh so silently So silently So silently "WHO'S THERE?!" Distressed in the emptiness How pitiful a creature Slowly I crept behind her Slowly So slowly A mistake at foot An echo of a step in the ground Turning so swiftly only for her eyes to meet The rendezvouz of death Pitiful creature Silken dress bathed in blood Met the eyes of death by my hand Pitiful creature Your ghostly face gazing at my hand Your frigid skin stole the heat of my heart Am I to be damned? As I left she stared at me As I stood she gazed at me Her eyes, why can't they stop?! She wears the mask of death An aghast expression whose eyes Slow and slowly pierced my body Creature of the night dangling in the streets Run from her gaze, her icy glare You find your blood soaked in your heart's depths Creature of the night A pitiful creature Guarded by the moon Haunted by fright --- I know it's long but I couldn't find a way to shorten it. It's something I had to do for school. The prompt was to place my mind in a "derranged individual's" head. Did I capture it right? |

This reminds me of when Grendel dropped a bomb on the halls of Herot. Wonderful imagery! I'd say, yes, you captured it!
