it looks nice. And, I hate to jump to conclusions, but it looks verrrry similar to the one I have on my site? Same looking coding, same dotted lines... same looking brushes behind the pictures... I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but it's just.... very very very similar.

the dotted headers have been changed anyway.

i'll admit i looked at your site for inspiration since i had wanted to do an arctic monkeys theme, but didnt intend for it to look like yours.

I'm really not trying to accuse you of anything here. and I DID notice you did not steal the code, line for line, but... it's very similar to what I did. The nav headers are opposite colours (red letter, yellow line + yellow letter, red line). If you look, you can see where I'm going with this.

oooh, k. I really don't like to be confrontational, but I was a little surprised. I read your post at SMB, and it's like... whatever. It's just the first thing that came to my mind when I saw your site. I can understand being inspired by someone, and god knows I started off the same way, but still. To be able to recognise your own work at someone else's site, what would YOU have done? Please don't tell me you wouldn't jump to the same conclusions. I'm sorry if you are angry, or whatever. All I know is what I saw earlier.

monet- you're right. i probably would have done the same thing and i'm sorry for not talking to you about it first. i just thought your stuff was really cool and i guess i tried to hard to duplicate it.

*shakes head* you just... dont... get it. Spencer listen to me, and listen good. I'm tired of your posting that I need to "get over it" and that "im the only person that can use a certain style". I fully understand that. I also understand that maybe, yeah, there are other people that use the same "design". But these people didnt come to my site, admit that they looked at my layout for inspiration, and take the ENTIRE IDEA AND DESIGN! And now, you're saying you didnt jock it? taking someones idea is taking someones idea. dude, sure, I SHOULD be flattered, and maybe if you aplogised, credited somewhere, and stopped getting attitude with me, I'd "get" over it. Hey look, I'm inspired by this guy: spectic.nu . Next time, talk to the designer first, and check with them. Or better yet, ASK them what they do to come up with their stuff, don't just... imitate it. It just shows a lack of creativity. And you know, if you find offense with me saying this, I'm sorry. jocking and borrowing ideas are 2 seperate things. i think the thing that gets you is the fact that i was able to imitate what you were conveying. i like the style, im not taking it down, im crediting you when i get time, and thats it. thats all i have to say. hate me; i'm not holding you back.

No one ever is, no one ever will as long as I can see, and type. Great, thanks for crediting me. But next time, just ask? and, try not to do it so soon after the person (me) has put her's up. My layouts been up for a total of... maybe 4 days? I don't mind people being "inspired" from me, but I like to know beforehand so I'm not so... shocked. I don't hate you, I really don't. I just dont like how you kinda jumped all over my back on something like this when really, anybody in my situation would have done the same. So, please don't hate ME over this, or think I'm a malicious bitch, because I'm not. I just work hard on my stuff, and am very defensive of it, okay? so.... truce?
