...does anybody else shop with their mother?
i think its a little embarassing walking around the mall with my mother hanging off my arm and telling me were to shop for cheaper clothes... i just think it is... but i dont know how to tell my mom off. i mean, i dont want her upset or anything...

although i don't do it i shop on the internet and when it is in a actual store its my grandma tagging along going how about this or this or this or this or this or this yeaa you get the point or its my dad that stands wayyyy behind i don't go shopping with my mother. but hey it could be worse just think of it that way. |

No, I still do it, because I don't have a credit card and my grandmother does, so I HAVE to go with her. I only have cash like once every few months, and when I do, I DO go alone. But theres nothing really wrong with it. If you feel uncomfortable, maybe ask if she can back away a bit, but still be behind you, you know, so you can have 'space'.

I like clothes shopping with my mom because, well, if I'm going to be honest, she has money. Haha. When I go alone, I'm always afraid I'll buy something with the little money I have, then I'll see something later that I like more and be like, "Oh! I should've waited."
But if I'm just hanging at the mall to buy little things, then I'd much rather go with friends. |

My mom or dad always pay but I don't go with them. Maybe she goes, but shes with my aunt and I'm with my cousin so we seperate. I also hate shopping with my mom because she's always saying how I take too long in a store and I don't even buy sh*t.

I don't like shopping with my mom because I just can't spend her money. Like when we're at the register and she hands over the plastic then looks at the total
 I hate that so me shopping with her is rare. I don't want her to see how much I spend on certain things.But, if you don't want to, then don't. Tell her you're growing up and want do it alone or, you can always go with friends. |

My mom and I have a lot of fun shopping together.
Sometimes we'll get shirts and borrow them from each other.  I don't think it's weird, but then again I'm really close with my mom. And I don't just go shopping with her because she pays. She shows me stuff that are actually cute and that I like.  In a lot of ways, she still acts like a teenager.  She's funny.I  meh mommy.

It's not weird. I go shopping with my mom and dad. Sometimes, my mom picks out really nice clothes... and she/they pay for everything. And they also convince me to get something because I'm too worried about the price.

I enjoy shopping with my mom, haha.. It makes me laugh, because I'm like this tomboyish figure, and shes a girly person... So shes like... "Awh, Come on Crys!! You should try on this skirt!! Ohh THIS SHIRT! You should get this!!"
It's just really fun, and a complete laugh :] && of course I don't usually get anything she suggests

Well I shop with my mother, I like to shop with her. It doesn't embarass me .. we walk arm in arm down the arcades and I don't give a eff what anyone thinks because I love my mummy =D
She also pays for most clothes .. and likes the kinda clothes I like .. even though they are really expensive =\ |

I love shopping with my mom! 'Cuz I don't have to pay out of my pocket.
 My mom used to suggest the cheapy stuff fer me too. The way I got around it was... I made her get all the simple stuff for me such as: tanks, jeans, solid tops, & simple shoes. Then...I'd save up enough money for: accesories, jackets, & shoes. Use your mom's penny saving suggestions to your advantage!! Just bear with it for awhile...that way you won't have to worry about disappointing her. It worked fer me.

it's not as weird as you think it is. usually, i'll go shopping with my mom but i'll just wonder around on my own and find her again later- she stays with me sometimes. it's not that embarassing, really depends on what we're shopping for and who catches me

Honestly, sometimes it's embarassing because for example your shopping with your mom & a group of girls walk by. You totally wish that was you in that group with your friends. Then again it's your mom. You spend a lot of time in school,ect doing something else & when do you get to spend time with your mom by doing something you both like? She has the moolah anyways
 . So it's all good. Everyone shops with their mom from time to time. I bet you some of them just don't want to admit it.

Eh. I'm not a big fan of shopping with my mum. She always makes me buy clothes at least a size bigger than what I'm already am, because she says "You're getting fat" or "If I'm a size 0 you must be a size 1". I think it's a bit hurtful, really. I'm a size 0 just like her, but just because I'm a bit taller doesn't necessarily mean I'm bigger in both ways.

It's not weird. I mean I don't mind shopping with my mom, but I'd rather not have her there. In all honesty I like shopping alone. There's no pressure to hurry up and make a quick decision on something. Besides, I always use my own money. When we go shopping at Macys, though, she always has all these coupons and stuff. It's embarassing to have her holding up the line because she's digging through her purse looking for the 25% coupon...
