Yeah this might be a very obvious and stupid question, but I'm turning freshman next year in high school (currently I'm in 8th grade junior high) and I was just wondering is there a possibility that freshmans can have classes with sophomores and juniors and seniors? Or is it like a grade level where freshmans have their own classes and stuff..if you dont get what I mean..just think of middle school (junior high)..there's 6th, 7th, and 8th grade..but 6th graders can't have classes with 7th graders...but in high school, is it still like this?

It's possible, depending on what electives and APs you take. But usually, the freshman don't have any classes with any other grades because at my school, not many electives and no APs are offered.

It really depends on your school.
For my school the CORE classes (math, social studies, language arts/reading, and science) are with kids my grade and the electives like art, choir, band, etc. are with kids from other grades. That's how it is for me. If your in advanced classes it's also a possibility or if a couple upperclassmen failed a class you could be with them.

It doesn't happen all that often. Usually you'll only have mixed classes in electives, or the occasional exceptional person who has a weird schedule and is taking a class that they should have taken a previous year or if you're ahead somehow.

it's at my school a lot. i guess it depends how big your school is. mine is really tiny so i have a lot of classes with other grades. pe/athletics mixes grades a lot. so do electives like art, ag, etc. in my geometry class there are freshmen, sophmores, and juniors. the only class i don't have other grades in i think would be honors english which is because if you fail, you're not going to be retaking the class in honors.

Yeah it just depends on the courses you take and whatnot and if kids are ahead or behind or something.

yes. actually, most likely, youll have a class or two with different class years. if youre taking a freshman course, then no..there probably wont be. but if youre taking alternative such as music or arts that isnt a specific grade course, then you will.

I have quite a few classes where there are mixed grades.

It can depend on where you are in the curriculum. I know some freshman who have Geometry or Geometry Honors with higher grades instead of Algebra like most of other freshman do. Then of course electives are really mixed up 'cause everyone decides to take those at different times in their high school career.

yea that's possible, but it depends on your school because you may be advanced than most of the freshman, so you could be in a sophmore or junior class. like i'm taking bio. this year, while the rest of the freshmans are taking earth science, since i'm advanced, i'm in a sophmore class.

Yes, absolutely.
Most likely not English class though.

Classes that are based on levels and interests are more likely to be mixed.

theres these 2 brothers at my school..theyre like..12 and they got into highschool and theyre taking calculus w/ the jrs already...lol

amd i had a friend frshmn yr who took 5 aps his frshmn yr..b/c he qualified for them.. but that kinda screwed him over when he was applying to college..
