I want to make a blog div layout for example like this http://glamour-beauty.com/Is that just used with word press?
I had tried many times in the past but always had trouble and ended up giving up,I can't remember,but something always seemed to go wrong..But I want to try again. I'm not sure where to start really..Does anyone know of any good tutorials?Or of any templates you can edit?I have no idea if any of this is similar to make myspace divs or not but yeah.. Thanks! |

She uses wp but you have to customize it to come out like that.

Thanks...hmm the word press sounds confusing lol..What would you reccommend is easier?
I couldn't find the div tutorial on cb...is it the same as the myspace div tutorial? I actually don't think there is a div layout tutorial on lissa explains,I remember a whille back looking and it doesn't have it and I ended up asking in the forums...I can't remember i'd have to have a look... |

Wordpress is the best. In my opinion.
Some people find cutenews easier.. eh maybe b2? They are all complicated in sme ways so yea. There is greymatter but I don't recommend it. I'm hopeless.I read the cb tutorials and ended up with just writing on the page and nothing else.I'm so slow,I feel so stupid and dumb!
Oh I see the css layout tutorials on lissa explains but they seem to look more like frames? Anyway i'll have a look at this cutenews...And have another look at wordpress,I can't remember what made me think it seemed cnfusing but yeah..thanks! |

dont feel slow hun, im exactly like you. ive been trying for months i still i dont get it. my dad got me hosting and a website..but im still completely lost..lol.

aw yeah it's so frustrating!!i really want to learn word press,but in order to use word press,I need a host that supports it and so far,no one wants to host me =(.My friend said that word press is easy,I bet it won't be for me :P...There's not much point of me reading tutorials, then not being able t find a host, ans it'll be hard to understand anyway,i'm not sure if wordpress is an actual program so,it'd be easier to read a tutorial then work at it..Hard to explain what I mean but yeah,things aren't looking to good,feel like giving up again im hopeless !!

Get a free wordpress site here: http://wordpress.com/ You can practice with wordpress and it will be your site. So you don't even havae to apply just sign up. Then maybe you can work on graphics and stuff or improving or whatever so that you can eventually get hosted at someones site? Seriously do wordpress.com that way you can mess up and everythign so by time you get hosted you have experience

Thanks for that^^I'll do that then,I did end up finding a host and she said she could help me with wordpress,but then she emailed all of her hostees the next day and said she can't host us for a while because she won't have the internet or something..it sucks :(...So now I have to find another host...I've been hosted before but then bought a domain and hosting and gave it to someone else out of losing interest in the graphics site I had...Well maybe hosts want people mroe experienced in wordpress I spose...WOuld be different if I knew how I guess..maybe theni'd have more offers.

Some don't require wordpress knowledge some are just willing to help you out around the way. If you do get hosted and need some wordpress help you can just pm me about and I'll help you with whatever.. Lots of people will!

Thanks^^...Ah my host is confusing me now she's saying she'll make me a layout and i'll just have to wait til Tuesday to be hosted...Err confusing o.o
