Amazon.com - Band of Brothers
QUOTE Based on the bestseller by Stephen E. Ambrose, the epic 10-part miniseries Band of Brothers tells the story of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army. Drawn from interviews with survivors of Easy Company, as well as soldiers' journals and letters, Band of Brothers chronicles the experiences of these men who knew extraordinary bravery and extraordinary fear. They were an elete rifle company parachuting into France early on D-Day morning, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest at Berchtesgaden. They were also a unit that suffered 150 percent casualties, and whose lives became legend. If you're into war movies or anything about World War II you should definitely check this mini-series out. They aired the whole series on HBO I think twice. It's a movie re-enactment of Easy Company going through WWII. And at the beginning of every episode they feature one of the veterans of the Easy Company and they talk about what happened during WWII. Real interesting. |

I own the DVD tin collector's set. I coughed up like $90 for that. I love it. Wonderful series.
By far my favorite mini-series of all time. Of all the war films I have ever seen, most of the major problems I ever had could were spawns of time contraints. With ten hours, none of these problems exist. I highly reccomend this series to anyone and everyone. |
