soo last june i started liking this guy who got cheated on a few months before so he rejected me because he thought he wasn't "emotionally ready" and wanted to be by my side when he was at his 'best'. throughout summer he really misled me ever after the rejection and in august we just drifted apart b/c i was tired of being led on.

then in november we started talking again and a lot. december we hit it off at a party pretty well and then came the 12 am-5 am phone calls almost every other day. he told me he liked me on new years day but he kept it in this gray area. not exactly friends with benefits..a little more than that but not exactly boyfriend girlfriend because he couldnt' do 'boyfriend things' whatever that was. so at this time he started SAT cramming too. since hes 2 years older i was thinking maybe he was using me as a stress ball..you know? we were pretty intimate in all aspects so i got insecure but he told me def not. then i always wondered why he never said i love you and he said that he was saving that for his wedding day...idk if im overreacting..but does that sound kinda fishy? like hes avoiding it cus he knows he doesnt mean it?

so this went on till april fools day (aka SAT day) and i realized we were talking less and less cus tennis season started and whatnot and so i played an april fools joke on him. i said that we should break everything off cus we just werent working out. i thought that he'd maybe try to fix things or completely freak out but all he said was 'yeah..i think so too' even AFTER i said it was a joke. aaaand he realized i was kinda bummed so he told me it wasnt my fault he just kinda lost interest in girls all together stubborn.gif

now. this might seem like a fling he had.
>no valentines day gift or whatever
>rarely did anything romantic or sweet..it felt like i was his bud not his girl
>came over extremely often but we never ONCE did anything outside of my room
>when his friends were over and i called, he'd just be like yo bros are over call you back later
>put school tennis and friends at a higher priority than me (its a good and bad thing i guess)

and it might have been..but
>i was the first girl he kissed in public
>i still have some of his stuff. he never asked for it back
>his friends did bear witness that he liked me a lot
>when he tried to explain why he didn't say i love you, he told me what i thought was love and after i told him, he said 'just because i dont say those three little words doesnt mean that i dont love you. i think you shoudl be able to tell through my actions'..implying that he did love me?
>walked over an hour from his school to my house then back to his so he could see me

thoughts? advice?

sometimes things fade away
if each other aren't putting in 50/50

i mean if you don't have that other half things aren't going to work
so really i don't think you two were really open with each other
from what you said about the guy it didn't seem like he was at all
but really i can't say anything because i don't know him or you in that fact.

Really sometimes the best things are to move on
and find someone else.. someone once said its better to love and lose then never have loved at all. and Also the next relationship will be better than the last because you learned something new about yourself in the end and you bring that with you to the next relationship and know what you want a little bit better..

haha "hypothetical"
