Your header image is too large.
 A viewer should immediately see at least some of your content... So they know if they like the site or not. I can't really read any of your links either... And it's weird how they get SMALLER when you however over them.

I like it. It looks great! I don't think the header is to large. You can't do wrong with black and white.

Its very stylized in a unique way but I think there is too much empty space. Looks good for a begining layout though
