you could try taking your cellphone apart and washing the washable parts, like the rubber buttons (if you dont have a flip phone). if that doesnt work, try taking it to the store.

Well something like that happened to my old phone. I stood in line for 2 hours in sprint just so they could say, "Your phone is wet. There's nothing we can do." So I think the best thing to do, is get a new one.

If your phone gets wet, you should take it apart as best you can and let it dry for a few days before using it again.

The last thing you wanna do when your cell phone gets wet is turn/leave it on. Don't press any of the buttons either.

ahh.. i've had 2 phones dunked in liquid.
two of them were okay and one of the wasn't. you can most likely get it fixed. take it to yor nearest phone store, or wherever the heck they can fix you. the main board will just need changing :) |

SInce the sugar in the juice hardens and gets all brown and crusts and sh*t. Get a q-tip or something and put it in some rubbing alcohol, and clean the parts out, especially where you see the sugar. |

--------------------------------------- maybe thats why it dowsn't work at all anymore..haha. & the sugar was deep inside where i couldn't get to it and then it broke all together. I'm getting a new one soon. But thanks for all your help. |

I would have to agree with uLoVeMikeRoch, since water and juice are VERY different. The phone will be very sticky, and be in much worse condition.
You must get a new phone because it's going to be hard taking the phone apart unless you know what you're doing. Also, by cleaning it, you would have to use something different from water, which can very well damage the phone even more... You can attempt this, but since you seem new at this, you really shouldn't tamper with it. Seriously, letting it dry is possibly the worse, since it can cause the pieces to stick it each other, due to the sugar and stuff. Do you have insurance on the phone from your cellular provider? Call it in lost ![]() ![]() And you probably shouldn't go to your cellular provider for help, since they won't help you -- only the manufacturer company will, but even so they probably would say it's your own fault, maybe even charge you crazy fees to have it fixed... ![]() |
