Stalker, - Someone I never liked Options

The topic title and topic description really says it all, but it started happening last week.

So there's this guy in my politics class in first semester. I only talked to him like what? Five times before I dropped the course. Anyway, so I hardly know this dude at all. Later last semester, he started to come out of nowhere and started poking me. "Okay, what's the deal? O-well. He's probably just one of those who have no life, but likes to bother girls by poking them". I told myself that, but this semester, it got worse.

Starting last week, he appears everywhere I go. I am so freaked out by him, I will walk to the other side of the hall and away from my friends if he's walking by. He starts skipping class to stay with my friends and I during our spare, his poking is somewhat more like feeling, he grabs onto my hands, he flicks and plays with my hair, he takes me stuff -takes the chance to touch me and etc. He's so annoying and freaky, that I have been telling him repeatedly how annoying he is and told him to get lost. That's the first time I have ever been mean to anyone (well, compared to my siblings! =P) and yet, he still doesn't get it. I actually shoved him out of the way and screamed at him in the hall when he hugged me. Dude! I do't like people getting into physical contact, especially if I don't like you. & the only person who can is someone else or my good/best friends!

I have gone to the point when I'm obvious, aside from telling him to go away. When he asked me for my MSN, I was like "I don't have MSN", but he knew I was lying, so I told him I forgot about my e-mail address. At that point, I really didn't care how mean I can get. & you know what's sad? Before this all happened, he knew my name, but I told him he was wrong. & guess what did he do? He went around asking all the guys for my name. Seriously, what the heck? Then he comes looking for me and asking my friends where I am all the time. My friends know so they tell him I'm sick or whatever. They are annoyed, too. Geez, my best friend tried to get him away from me by saying that she has something really important to tell me. But what does he do? He stands there and doesn't go away! Geez, it's really annoying me. If he was cute and actually someone I know and has a great personality, I wouldn't mind as much. But hello? He doesn't match any of those!

I actually asked my mom about what I should do. But she wasn't even taking it seriously. This dude really freaks me out and when people tell me that he likes me, even people who don't see us together can guess the stalker is him, I thought my mom will be serious. But guess what does she say? She tells me to tell my friend to go scare him off or beat him up if he bothers me again. This "friend" is someone who she thought that I was dating, and even though we didn't, a lot of stuff has gone between us and as of right now, I'm not talking to him. I'm pretending that my friend isn't even there. That's a whole different issue anyway.

What should I do?

Well, I think (even though you might not want to do this) that you really need to talk to him in person about how this is bothering the crap outta you. In my mind, that's the only way you can get him to stop.

You could tell yout teachers about it. When they know that he's bunking classes, they will take it seriously. your friends could talk to him individually of how harassing it is to follow and trouble a person like this especially when you don't want that atention. maybe when so many of them speak to him 1 by 1, he will understand that he's being a nuisance. Tell him that he's just spoiling his image by acting like this. If he would have been decent, then maybe you would have atleast talked to him. I think you should tell him that you really don't want anything do with him, that you don't want him to touch you, or hug you or even be around you, etc. He might think that you're just playing hard to get. Tell him that you're simply not interested.

This isn't exactly stalking. Stalking is when he shows up at places he wouldn't normally be unexpected. It's not stalking if he just wants to hang around you at the school you both go to.

You you should get one of your guy friends[if you have any] to pose as your boyfriend and if that stalker guy ever comes back around or touches you, have your friend tell him to back off and warn him, maybe teach him a lesson lol. If not, I guess you can report him to the office for sexually harrassing you.

well, you already mentioned that you screamed in his face, and you can't get much more clear than that. he just seems to be either very thick or very stubborn.
if the behaviour goes on, i'd go with telling teachers to keep an eye out... not necessary getting him into trouble but just having someone on the lookout incase he tries to do something, you know? thats what my sister did, when she thought our dad was going to assault her b/f at grad. and he did, but teachers intervened because they were prepared.
you could look into getting a restraining order, but i don't think you'd have any grounds to, because- like what was already said- he's not, by legal terms, stalking you.

I think telling a teacher or principal is your best bet, if you think you've done all you can to get him away from you.

It's getting more out of hand everyday. Two days went by and he gave me a break. But then today, I just snapped.

So I was walking with one of my good friends and my crush, who's close to me (not as close since we hardly see each another though =() and knows that I like him, and we stopped by to speak to one of my best friends. All of a sudden, the dude pops out of nowhere and starts poking me. My friends know how much he annoys me, so they blocked him out of the way. My friend goes, "Why are you always after her? You hardly know each another." That's true. This dude isn't even my friend! Guess what he says? He tells everyone that "I'm his wife" aka "his girlfriend". I screamed in horror and I started screaming stuff like, "eww! gross! go away! i dont like you! you freak! i hate you! get the hell away from me!" While my friends shivered and freaked out as well. So I sat down, as my two friends protected me from him. Then he turns around and insults my crush for not understanding what he just said about me belonging to him (ew! never!) That was completely stupid because my crush, he's white so obviously he doesn't know Cantonese.

After that, I ran for it with my good friend. My crush catches up and tries to calm me down and cheer me up, after being so disturbed, freaked out and frustrated that the guy has the guts to say something like that! But it didn't work so he started bashing about the dude and then told me that if he bothers me again, he's going to beat the crap out of the guy. I told him he's welcomed to anytime, though if that happens, I'm pretty much not going to let him do that. He has been willing to protect me (my crush) ever since the first week I met him. But I know I will never be able to live with the guilt of him getting suspended or expelled for beating someone up. So I will not let him, but I will let him tell the dude off.

Seriously, if the guy starts telling everyone I'm his girlfriend or whatever, he's seriously going to recieve hell from me and my friends. For heaven's sake, even those who don't hang around with me can pretty much guess who he is. It's sickening and it was so awkward, for that to all happen while my crush was there. We were so uncomfortable - "lover boy" (as he described) likes me but I like the other dude (my crush). At least I know that he will do whatever he can to protect me from anyone, anytime =)

What i think is that you should talk to him. Don't be mad at first that is definately the wrong thing to do. First you gotta be nice to him and be friendly and once you guys know each other a little better ask him why he has to stalk you. Cause you never want a stalker to be mad at you. Then they do everything in their power to sabotash (dunno how its spelled) you. So be nice and friendly when approaching him about the matter.

i think that in most cases, if you really just ignore them and likee reject them enough,

If you've told him not to touch you and he still does, that's called sexual harassment and should be reported immediately. Having said that, it just seems that he might have a little crush on you. The best thing to do would be to sit him down and ask him to seriously listen to you. Tell him that you aren't interested in him, relationship-wise, and you want to just stay friends.

You have a serious problem here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![size=4]First you need to tell your school councellor/principal and anyone who will listen that is in a position of authority at the school. (2) you need to take out an intervention order/restraining order on this person if the school cant talk sense into this "stalker" (3)MAKE YOU MUM LISTEN TO YOU, tell her that you've spoken to the school about this guy (4) if all else fails, have the police come and tell him to stay away from you as stalking is an offence. Don't get any of your friends to beat up or threaten this guy as he clearly has a srew loose already and that might just get him angry enough to do something to them. (5) Don't be alone, stay with your friends ............ You really need to have this dealt with ASAP.......

This isn't exactly stalking. Stalking is when he shows up at places he wouldn't normally be unexpected. It's not stalking if he just wants to hang around you at the school you both go to.

I'd rethink that. If this girl's yelled at him enough times to go away and he STILL refuses to and shows up everywhere, I'd say that's stalking. It doesn't really matter if it's the same school. The school should be big enough for him to keep his distance.

Tell someone in authority, hun, right away. Reading all of that has really got me creeped out. It's pretty bad if your friends have to BLOCK him from you. You never know if he'll start bringing things to the next level, like feeling you up in front of everyone. But yeah, like Lavendercat said, try your hardest to walk in groups..

if he ever tries to hug.. or touch you in a way you dont want to be touched; i dunno; punch him or something. let him know that you dont want anything to do with him and that you dont want him touching you at all. make sure that you're rarely alone, cause you never know when he's gonna show up, and what he may have in mind.

Somebody trying to talk to you is very often seen as being stalked, throught no fault of the stalkee's, they just assume that they are being stalked, but the stalker may actually just be trying to get a one-on-one talk with you.

If it goes beyond a talk and into a "touching" session, without your permission, then just tell him/her firmly that you don't like the person, and if he/she continues aggresively, hit back, HARD, then inform the police. If he apologizes and never tries it again, then it was just a one-off outburst, but if it continues after that, he/she is going to do some hard time.

Anywho, I hurted my ankle and I was on crutches (still am). During my spare, he came around and was being an idiot while I was sitting with my two friends. He took the crutches and tried to poke me with them. Then he tries to touch my bruised and swelled up ankle. So my friend took it from his hands and before I could yell at him, she did it for me. I was going to butt in, but then I let her do the job. She has been so stressed out lately, and she was already pissed off at him for insulting her boyfriend. Also for the fact that she's falling behind in school and then her grandpa's recent death. After all the screaming for a few minutes, he eventually gave up and left. She shoved him out of the way while I was at my locker since I couldn't really do anything, unless I take my crutches and wack him away with it. But since we were outside of a teacher's office, that wouldn't be good if one of them came out.

Thursday after school, I was extremely pissed. I wasn't talking to anyone and he comes around, and starts poking me. I shoved him out of the way and went, "DON'T FU-TOUCH ME!!!" right in front of the entire school. Thank goodness I didn't swear, although I almost did! I was so pissed off, I was going to wack him right over the head with my chemistry textbook. The next day during my spare, I was alone for awhile since my friend was in the washroom. He comes by and sits down, asking me why I was so rude. & I told him I was just pissed already and I said I didn't want to talk about it at all. He noticed my tone and then just shut up and didn't bother me at all. Thank goodness my crush comes out eventually and he saves me.

Either he's really starting to get the hint (wow, finally!) or he's just getting bored of the stalking and taking a break from it now.

I had an internet stalker one time. He was from a town about 30 minutes away and he would actually get his parents to drive him to all of my school's events so he could stalk me in person. I would have to run away and hide and have my gay friend pretend to be my boyfriend. I eventually told someone and he was told to leave me alone. But he still will IM me. Somehow he gets my new screen name everytime I change it. But he doesn't show up to my school's events anymore.
