Incorrectly spaced Blogbody box

Hi. wink.gif I was surfing creatblog's xanga layouts, and I found one I really liked. The preview was nice, and it was nice and organized, so I copy/pasted it into my header portion of my header blog.

When I hit "preview," the blogbody box and the box with my name and the links and such were both off-center. huh.gif I know a bit of HTML and code and whatever, so I scrolled through, looking for a number I could change so that it would fit, but I couldn't find it. sad.gif Is there a way to fix this?

can you show us which layout your using?
and maybe you need to change your alignment.
and also a link to your xanga

I'm using.. splash, I think it's called. It's got a lime on the top.

Make sure in your Look and Feel page, your alignment is set to "center". It's right at the top.

Tried that. And besides, the two tables need to be closer together, not just moved over or anything.

hm... what browser are you using? and your resolution?
cause the preview is aligned in IE 1024 x 768

I believe it's because of your Memegem quiz and other quizes on the bottom that causes the Blog to stretch--- moving the modules. I'm not very sure, but I think that's the problem because your quiz and a few other stuff on your Website Stats are too huge for the blog. :P

I'm using Mozilla and my resolution is 1680 X 1050. I tried it without all of my webstats stuff, and it's still off. I'm not willing to change my browser or my resolution--and if my friends can see that it's off with other browsers and resolutions, I don't think that's the problem. Anything else you can think of? Thanks for all your help, btw.

LOL I was using both Mozilla and Internet Explorer, and it came out the same. Anyway--- I just tried the code on your xanga, and it came out perfectly without the Website stats area:

Of course, ignore the Searchbar. xD Anyway, so actually, the problem IS on the website Stats area. I still think it's the MemeGem thingy. The code I used on the CLAF Header is the same as your code, so I don't need to repost that- do I? :P

I think the skin was made for 1024 X 768. Your resolution is pretty big and I think thats the problem. Unless you change resolution or adjust the skin div code it will be miss-aligned.

I deleted all of the website stats, and I still have the same problem,

Also, the xanga you sent me to didn't look right either.

Okay, I want to you to try something and see if it works.. if it does, then I can remedy the problem.

This is what I did - . I inserted a div layer to govern the position of your navigation right after your stylesheet. I added a margin-left option, and hopefully by placing the right number, it will move over. If it goes crazy. you can always add a "margin-top: ##px;" option too.
