how do you change your bmi?

okay, what would it take for somebody to change their bmi? like to a lower, or higher level. would you have to lose weight or what?

It depends. If you are in a normal range...I don't see a need to change your BMI. Besides after your puberty, the height part for your BMI calculation is not going to change, unless you gain/lose tons of weight.

Yeah it's pretty straightforward.

Your body mass index depends on two factors:
1. Your height.
2. Your weight.


If you want to make your body mass index lower you have to lose weight.
If you would like to make it higher you have to gain weight.

The idea is to be in the normal range obviously. So you don't want to make it higher & you don't want to make it so low that you're underweight.

It tells you if you're
1.underweight,
2.normal
3.overweight or
4.obese

So I guess I'm stating the obvious in some parts but it's all here just to map it all out for you.
