umm.. I want to take the song off my i-pod but keep it on my library. (i have itunes) I remember doing it before by just unchecking it in the library and then plugging my ipod in, but thats not working. Any ideas? sorry for posting this if its something really simple or if its already been posted.

In your iPod preferences, maybe sure the option to "Only update checked songs" is checked.
