number keys, which set do you use? Options

okay so i searched this. and it's not really all that techinical- so its here.

so which number pad key set thing do you use on you keyboard- this eliminates all those laptop people sorry. i use the one to the right of my keys- that are in a big square because i just find them easier to use. but i see some people use the one in a row above the keys.

so which set do you find easier to use?

On the desktop, I usually do the number pad to the right, because I feel it's easier, and I type with them quicker. But on the laptop, I have no choice but to do the top row of numbers.

I'm a labtop person, but at school I spell out numbers generally... I have small hands so I have a hard time reaching the number keys and hitting the space bar all the time... yeah.

I use the top row. When I try to type out number based things on the right side, since I'm so use to the top row, I forget what number I'm trying to type. It's odd. Oh well.

I like the numpad so much more than the row. I always press the wrong number in the row because I don't look at the keyboard.

If I'm using a full-sized keyboard, I usually use the number pad; but most of the time I use a laptop, so I only use the top row.

Good question :) When I used my father's computer, I got used to using the number pad on the right, but since then, I've gotten a laptop, so just the top row for me now :)

Eh.... the top row most of the time - unless I have to type a lot of numbers, then I use the number pad.

And I always forget to "Num Lock" so I finish typing about 20 numbers in and realize that not one of them registered on the screen. Darn it.

I use the number pad. The little set of numbers above the letters are so irritating at times; or maybe it's because I have bigger fingers. Idk, but either way, numpad's the way to go.

When I learned typing, I actually never used the ones on the right. Yeah, they're be easier if I had learned to use them, but now I'm used to the ones on the top. Yuck.

I've always prefered the number pad - if I'm using a laptop, that's one thing I really miss. I guess you could always get a USB keypad, but to me that seems a little overboard.

If I'm typing something lengthy, I'll use the ones to the top. Basically, I use the top rows except if I enter in my zip code because it's easier.

Same here. It is more convenient to use the top row because it saves time from moving my hand all the way to the number pad, but for longer numbers, the number pad is easier to move my fingers to the right number.

I use whatever. I find the right numbers are easier. But there always hiding cuz i have that rolling desk thingy and im always sitting side ways so i dont always use the right side. I just use whatever.

yeah, i think most laptops have a number lock function so some keys function as the number pad to the right.
anyway, i like to use the ones to the right on a desktop but havent gotten used to it on laptop.
