Just wear one. Alot of girls think their bodies aren't so great, but to everyone else, it's just fine. Next, don't worry what people think. Wear what you want to wear.

If you're too uncomfortable with it, just wear a one-piece (we all understand), but if you want to face your fears, DO SO!

you could always go for a tankini happy.gif ...maybe kinda like training? then move up to the more sporty/ more coverage bikinis.. then onto string! the first time i got a bikini i felt kinda weird [my mom bought it for me and i was like blink.gif really?!] cuz i take off my shirt to go into the pool and everyones watching. but after a while it wasnt that bad. eh... do w/e u want, take ur time.. its ur choice

eh. just wear one. i use to be uncomfortable wearing a two piece cuz im so skinny and you can see my ribs, but i got over it. i mean, i walked on a runway infront hundreds of people in a bikini. its not that bad once you get use to it.

Start with a tankini first, if that's fine for you, go ahead and wear bikini. =)

Hmm...my piece of advice is to just do it.
Seriously, I don't have a perfect body either ((and the models definately don't)), and I just started wearing one - and I am about the most insecure it gets, trust me.

If I could do it, then you sure can.

if you dont wanna wear it dont wear it. wear whatever makes you feel right. doesnt have to be bikini.. a tankini would work? or one piece maybe? hey its all up to you. your body is your temple.. be your own leader.

If you're nervous wearing a bikinni, start off with a tankinni and then work you're way up! I wear one pieces and tankinnis, because I'm way too self-conscious and I'm worried about my... package falling out, haha.

Is it a have to wear a bikini? One-pieces aren't so bad.

Or, like Meg said, get into one gradually. You don't have to wear a bikini now if you don't feel comfortable. Just wear what you think is right for you.

I'd say wear one. If you seriously don't want to though, there are other types of swimsuits that look good, not just bikinis. Like other people suggested, tankini's are a good choice, or you could go with a one piece. I just saw this one piece that was strapless and hot pink. It looked awesome, so if you're worried that a one piece will look dorky, just shop around and you'll probably find a pretty good looking one.

just wear one, it's not that big a deal i suppose. some swimsuits will flatter your body some won't i guess.
if you feel uncomfortable then just wear board shorts along with your bikini so you won't feel overly exposed. that's what i do.

Lol, I wear just my bra and underwear around the house. My mom freaks out at me, she's like, "WHAT IF YOUR BROTHER COMES HOME!!" And I tell her that if I can wear a bikini that's basically an underwear and bra with pretty designs on it in public, I should be able to wear something similar at home. =P

But no, I used to be afraid, like last summer, but not anymore. I just love to swim too much.

if you really really really don't feel comfortable in a bikini just wear what you want to wear, but hey, bikinis are great! I recommend you overcome your fear and buy one! If you don't like how you look in it, no ones gonna force you to wear it again! I'm sure you look great, as your sister says - and she's your sister, she's not gonna lie to you.
Best of luck!

^ Agreed, alllll the waaayyyy.

Believe me, no one's going to be staring at you, nitpicking every thing that's wrong with your body. Everyone has flaws in their body! But what looks even more stupid is when you try to cover it up. It just shows that you're insecure. Go all out, enjoy yourself.

If there's other people there, then go for it.

Or you could avoid swimming altogether.
