is it possible to burn audio onto a dvd disc and play it in a DVD player

just burn an audio CD.

most DVD players can play audio CDs.

dvd discs hold about 4 GB compared to the 700 MB of regular cds which is prolly why he is bringing this up.

in which case the answer is no.

there is no standard format for DVD audio disks.

however, many DVD players can also read MP3 CDs.

In that case they should make portable CD players that support MP3 from DVDs.

But that would be called a Portable DVD player that already exists, but I mean one just for music, not movies and videos.

But can't use still just burn the files onto the DVD? As if they were Data files?

you could, and the DVD player may be able to read them. but what's the point?

yah that is why because i wanted to put alot of music on a DVD-R it play in my dvd player and what is the best cd/dvd burner
