I think my manager is into me and I am only a wee bit into him (like if you were to try and measure your pupil with your fingers) but there is like 7 years between us!! Plus he is my manager which makes him my boss and I work in a restaurant so people would definitely know if there was something going on between us!! ANd I don't want people to think that I only have my job b/c I'm sleeping with the boss!! I have a really flirtacious personality but I don't want to be sending my manager the wrong signals. what do I do?
Different scenario I do happen to really like one of the bartenders at my work!! but I don't know if I should try and start a relationship b/c if things fall apart then it will be akward and I don't want to work in an akward environment!! What should I do? |

I'm not strictly against dating coworkers--I once dated a girl with whom I worked. Of course, she wasn't my superior--we had roughly equal status. His being your boss does throw a bit of a kink into things; however, I wouldn't think it a bad thing to date a coworker who's roughly even with you in the chain of command.

Well, there's definitely a but of an age difference, and he is your superior in the work area, so you might want to heed from a relationship because if something goes wrong, you could be unfairly punished for it. Maybe he has a flirty personality too.
