background image size for webpage, what's the best image size? |

yeah, im planning to make a bg for a web. what's the best image size for it? where it wouldn't stretch or anything? thanks!

For standard size it would be 1024x768
|

I strongly suggest making it repeatable.
 It won't ever "stretch" then.But yes, 1024 by 768 is standard screen size now. |
