I took my teacher's car keys because she told me to get luggage for her, but I ended up driving it instead and crashed into a pole at school. It felt so dramatic because everyone was asking me about it, and I felt so dumb. Any advice?

ok I am confused, you took your teacher's car without permission, or she gave you the keys to get luggage out of her car and you drove it around instead?? Well apologizing and offering to pay for the damages would be a start...

how the hell did that happen?

i think you should kind of tell people the truth, starting with your teacher and apologize and pay for the damages like Nicolatofu said...

What the.

How did you "end up" driving her car? You make it sound like an accident. Take responsibility for your actions.

You should talk to your teacher so at least he/she knows what exactly happened. And then apologize. Offer to pay for the damages. You can only hope people forget about this, but they probably won't, because that was pretty dumb of you. No offense.

Good luck.

uhh..why the eff would you drive your teachers car when she purposely told you to get luggage? not to mention, youre almost 18. ever thought of, "think before you do something?" you brought this upon yourself, so im thinking, you should probably go and tell the teacher what you were thinking in the first place, and cover all of the damages.

btw, youre 17..shouldnt you have a license and know how to drive by now?

Sounds like you have it under control then.. maybe you should have your parents give her some money to pay for the wreck just to be polite. And maybe suck up to her for a few months because right now, she probably thinks you're insane.

I'm surprised that the teacher let you have keys in the first place.
He/She must have trusted you a lot.
That must suck.
At least you know NOT to do that again.
