I was wondering if anyone here has ever been on a People to People trip? I went last summer and it totally wasn't all it was cracked up to be. The food was awful and the leaders kept on trying to force everyone to be friends. I went to France, Italy and Spain, so that was cool. But, the leaders made it a fairly bad experience.

edit By forcing us to be friends I mean buddy system, assigned rooms and seating. It worked like reverse physcology though, cause we stuck with our liitle social groups even more. 25 of us were from the Santa Barbra area and the other 25 were from the Bay Area.

It's okay, we force you to be friends with everyone here too.

I was invited to go, but it sounded like a hoax so I didn't.

i hate those kinds of things. i don't want to be forced into friendships with anyone. it doesn't matter if we're on the moon or something. things like that just ruin trips and experiences.

My friend went on it, and he had a great time. He saw a lot of interesting things and met a lot of cool people, and he said it was a really valuable experience.
