Anyone excited to see the movie Ultraviolet?
Excluding the fact that Milla is my favorite actress, I'm ready for another kick-ass female action flick.

What do you guys think of the movie?

I saw the trailer for it before Underworld: Evolution, and to be honest, I didn't think it looked very good. Given the kind of movies aimed at fans of Underworld, I have a feeling I'm right.

It kind of reminds me of Resident Evil without the zombies.

I saw the preview...It looks interesting.
I wouldn't go to the theater to see it,
but if it's on TV i'd watch it

Looks like a crossbreed from Resident Evil and AeonFlux. I'd eventually watch it.

i just saw the trailer a few minutes ago. i thought it was the commercial for the aeonflux dvd or something. the trailer made it look really similar to aeonflux.

I saw the previews for this movie tonight. Looks pretty good to me, I'm going to have to check it out.

In the trailer, or at least the one I saw, it had the exact same style of jump Kate Beckinsale did in Underworld. TOTAL RIP OFF!

Meaning, i'm prolly never going to see this cause it's going to be a major rip off.

My brother in law is aching to see this film, I have no interest. However, since I'm the action/sci-fi/fanasty comic book gal in the family, he wants *me* to go with him. I'm thinking - Milla's best film? The Fifth Element, Im' scared to see anything else with her. laugh.gif

I just finished seeing this movie and it was alright. I dont think it lived up to the hype and some of the fight scenes were unimpressive.

Looks interesting, but it would have had more potential if it was rated R.

Now don't accuse me of being the kid who likes watching R rated movies. It's just that R rated action movies tend to be more serious and mature. And PG-13 ones are usually aimed at teens and turn out to be cheesey, full of ****, and just plain out bad. Take the recent Aeon Flux for example, when I saw the trailer and saw the PG-13 rating, I knew EXACTLY how the movie would turn out... and sure enough it happened.

I said usually, so I didn't mean all. I do hope Ultraviolet isn't of those cheesy PG-13 duds, but it probably will be. I was pretty stunned by its action and atmosphere when I saw the trailer. I actually thought it looked sweet, but the girl's dialogue was kinda cheesy though ("I come from a world.. you may not understand")

I know it'll be better than Aeon Flux but I would have had more hope it was rated R... then I would be more sure that it takes a serious path and is not an action flick aimed at kids.

omg, it's just electra and the girl on kill bill combined. Her suit is too close to what electra wears. Some person said it was just a mock of Aeon Flux. Umm really? ermm.gif

i saw the commercial when underworld was out..and they look sooo similar..i thought it was just copying uw and all those other similar movies...it looked crappy..and the title sucks too...my names violet..and im super..so they call me ultravoilet..blahblah

so i dont wanna see it...but my friend whos seen other work from the same director says the director is really good w/ action films so..UV would have good action scenes..

yea i saw the previews.. at first i thought it was metroid when the guy rolled in the room in a ball then transfromed into his human state.. lol and when it first started to show the main character when her clothes were changing red.. i was so excited but then so disapointed when i finally realized what kind of movie it was.. oh but whats the name of that song it was playing? its addictive lol

Saw it. Didn't enjoy it. Sure, the visual effects and fight scenes were stunning but the plot was lacking and the scenes in the movie that were meant to be tearjerking weren't because they never allowed you to relate to or feel for the characters.

I just saw it last night. It was SO good. _smile.gif I think it's one of my favorites.
