Making Glitter, Photoshop Options

I wanted to know how to make make glitter and wondered if anyone knew how? I am talking about the glitter that's used to "fill in the text". Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I made this thread:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=121209 and I still need help because I cannot get the glitter right.  I used the tutorial for photshop and when I got to the putting on the bruhses, making a new layer, deleting the new layer and saving the three different layers I was lost.  How do you save it and animate it?
