maybe we should have some kind of system where you need a certain amount of votes to close a topic, even if your a mod.
 it gets annoying sometimes when your typing in a topic and suddenly it closes on you  [ topic title edited by mona lisa ] |

The mods close topics when its appropriate. If you have a problem with it, give the mod a good reason to open it up and if you come up with a convincing argument, then so be it.
And your topic title...

It's not going to happen, I can tell you that already. The solution has already been said, if you have a problem with a topic being closed or feel your topic has been wrongfully closed then pm a mod about it. We will be willing to dicuss the issue. That's all there is to it. It's that simple.
