Yes, so is every other cancer. Doesn't mean you will get it though.

It's believed that some forms of breast cancer are genetic, although it's important to note that genetics only predisposes one to a condition, rather than automatically causing it. The environment still plays a big factor.

if someone in your family, linked to you by blood, had ANY type of cancer, there is a slight chance you COULD get it someday.

If that trait is dominant, then there is a big chance that it's genetic. If not genetic, then there comes environmental factors.

Yes it is. Breast cancer runs in my moms side of the family, and my aunt and mom have both had lumps already removed. My other aunt now only has one breast because of breast cancer.

Wow... thats kinda hard to imagine...
Wait, nevermind. Big mommas house 1, except the breast isn't flung back to her back.

I hear that it is, but it doesn't mean that you will definetly get it. both my grandmothers had it and my great-aunt. I've always been kind of paranoid about getting it, but my immediate aunts and mother have not had any kind of cancer.
I want to learn more about it and be informed. I don't want to ignore it if I have the chance of getting it when I'm older.
