A timer?

Doesn't belong in pictures. Moved to Lounge.

Use a timer and a tripod.

If you don't have a tripod, I guess you can try putting it on something that'll be tall enough to look at your face.

turn the flash off, hold it at a full arms length away facing you, lean back and just take it. _smile.gif it helps if you're in front of a mirror becos that way you can see the reflection of your image in the camera. does that make sense?

Well, you can always go to a very lit and bright room, that's what I do haha. xD The flash doesn't really hurt my eyes, but it makes me look ugly, so yeah xD Try the bathroom? xD

Don't like flash, brighter area.

Please...don't extend your arms. I kinda hate seeing people's pictures with their arms extended in it too. Have a mirror, take the camera, face it to yourself, look at the mirror and see if you like it, then click.

If not, use a timer. When I take full length pictures, I use my music stand. You can find anything.

If you're ugly, you're ugly. Don't blame it on flash.

It looks good when it's from above because it supposedly doesn't show the fat on your face or something.

Or you could hang out with your friends or something and just take pictures randomly.

get some nice lighting, like outside, or in the daytime with your windows open, then you dont have to use flash. or just use a timer, or the ever-so-popular- mirror-method. i prefer timer but if im too lazy i just stretch out my arm and snap. heh.

blink.gif Wow. You guys are really getting into this. Lighting, flash, and all.

It's not *that* hard to get one picture of yourself.

But if you want to get that complicated, go ahead...

I absolutely hate it when people take pictures of mirrors with their reflection in it. It's so tacky. =_= You could try what Sharie said. Face the camera towards you (not the camera), and see what the picture will look like in the mirror. Adjust. Take the picture. Lalalaa.

I don't really like flash, so I don't use it. Try some ample lighting...either natural or from a lamp or something. Point the lamp to yourself so you'll get that light. This way you won't need flash.

You could see if theres a zoom out button on your camera.
& you could try taking the picture with LOTS of lights on or even outside if it's bright enough.
Try messing with angles too.
(I never take one straight on, but tilt my head)
good luck with that!
