Who cares if other people do it, they are making them selves closer to the risk of getting their space deleted. If you want your space deleted go ahead and find the code somewhere else.

About the bottom links code not working, I think myspace has started to disable the code or something. So you pretty much have to keep them unless you find another code. The thing is that they work in one url and not in the other.
