Can anyone lend me a hand with understanding dynamic php? Like what's so good about it or a site with a really simple understandable tutorial on it? Thank you.

You'll find dynamically generated sites easier to maintain if you need to organise a lot of information. For instance, you could easily change the design of a site by changing one single design file.

The most notable aspect to scripting languages (ie PHP, PERL) in my opinion is user interaction; essentially processing user feedback on the fly.
Examples are forums, shopping carts and web games. A good working knowledge of HTML, particularly form fields is essential. Understanding of databases like MySQL is also important for medium to large scale web sites.

The best way to learn PHP is to to give it a bash yourself.
There's no requirement to buy hosting space, instead I suggest you download EasyPHP which will install everything you need to start scripting. It's prepackaged with Apache (web server) and MySQL. You could even run your site off your own computer.
I highly recommend that you also download the windows docs from www.php.net : Click here. The offline docs also contain some very useful comments submitted by PHP users which will help you greatly.
A good starting place with a tutorial is probably w3schools

I wrote some of my own thoughts about PHP on my site a while ago.

it would have been better for you to give a link to a site rather than copy and paste an entire article.

Well, I thought it would save time so they wouldn't have to go the website and waiting for it to load. It took a while for it to load because of so much text.

<Edit>

I posted the link.
