help with making box layout Options

i'm trying to make a layout for my xanga so that it looks like this person's site: click here she gives a basic layout template: click here and i wanted to make it so the modules are in those little boxes. (i'm using this tutorial) i plugged in different numbers for the width, height, margin-top, and margin-left, but i can only get the width and height right. i wanted the nav. menu to be on the long module on the left, my affiliates in that little box in the bottom left corner, my title (starfairy_designs) on top, and my main blogs and stuff in the middle. how can i get the modules right in the boxes??!
