i;'ve searched. there were like 10 pages. i only searched through 2. >_> erm, yeah.
i have a question. does your school let you dye your hair unnatural colours ? ( unnatural as in blue, blood red, green, pink, violet, etc. )

My school doesn't allow. but i'm just dying like a strip of my hair violet. i was also curious on, if your school doesn't let you, how people would hide it ( because i really want it so damn badly >< ).

Wow. There's a private school in my area with that rule, but my school doesn't care. They probably put it under distracting... If you just want a strip then you could braid it into your hair or something. You could also search for hair extensions and die those (or find violet hair extensions) and use those... I don't know if that helped... or if that was coherent. I have a really bad cold and it's effecting my head. mellow.gif

Oh, yeah, I would love to put like purple strips through my hair... kinda like this...

My school won't let you have hairstyles that 'detract' attention away from teaching. Hair style's like mohawks and stuff. As for unnaturall colors, that's a no too. ahaha. I've seen this one girl with red hair for the longest time now though. I guess her teachers don't report her.

One guy was walking around with purple.

Still is and hasn't gotten in trouble.

But technically we aren't supposed to.

Yes. And if they didnt, nobody would care. Its not like they can make our heads if we disobey.

My friend Dayna had violet purple hair with fuschia pink thick streaks. Its really cool.

My other friend has a mohawk, with bright red tips. Ive seen green hair, chunks of blond hair in black hair.
My friend Steph has hot pink and white-ish in the back of her head.

(: I want to get royal blue tips, but my mom would never allow it.

My school let's us dye our hair in ANY color. If you want to hide that violet strip of hair you can ummmmm idk wear a wig? Or tie your hair in a certain pony tail that lets the strip be hidden?

my school doesnt really care. we have people with all sorts of colors, and hairstyles .. i personally think schools should allow students to do w.e to their hair... it's their style... but yeah, as long as it's sanitary. GO COLORFUL HAIR! laugh.gif

My school allows that I guess. I have seen no cases of these types of hair colors or styles being reported.

my school doesn't care. As far as I know it has no laws on anything like that...we can wear whatever we want, and look like whatever we want. As long as it's not too revealing or what not. But ya.

They dont care at my school. My friend/hair stylist had black and teal (school colors)hair and it was the prettiest thing. Unnatural hair colors is the trend at my school. But I dont see why some schools are strict on hair.

QUOTE(OmG_iTz_KiMi @ Feb 2 2006, 7:44 PM)
For us, they DO care about that thing, so if they think your hair color is distracting, they'll find a way to "undistract" people, that, or you get suspended for awhile.
*

Oh.. Crap. Suspension? _unsure.gif I don't wanna risk that over a stupid strip of dyed hair. My school is sososos stupid =[

well.. yeah.. Maybe i should just dye my hair something else. >__>;

bleh.

My mom thinks orangeish red hair isn;t natural. But is it for some people? I think it is. :\

We can also have liprings, noserings, etc.

yea, at our school there are emo kids who dye a strip of their hair many different colors. some teal, some green, some pink, some red. you cant really hide random color strips on your hair so you may wanna stay away from hair coloring until you go to college?

My school allows it, we have a lot of that at my school. Take it to your school board, that's like freedom of expression or something I remember we learned about why they can't do that to you.

My school does not allow tinted hair... which means you can only dye your hair darker, not lighter. Well everyone in my school is oriental, so most of us have black, or for Eurasians, dark brown hair. It's so unfair that those Eurasians can dye their hair slightly lighter and no one will care. >_> Yeah, so the lightest hair colour I've seen in my school is dark brown. Nothing else.

I don't think they care about dying your hair different colors, but I know people that have gotten in-school suspension (ISS) for having mowhawks. Apparently, they're "a distraction to the class." _dry.gif
