This is the code i'm currently using for my livejournal (username Danhunter)however my header image isn't displayed. Can anyboody help?

As far as I know, you can't add a header image through s1 with clean and simple.. Since you have a paid account, you can make your own style based off of clean and simple and just add a header image in the code at the bottom.
