The dream began with my doing the usual; enjoying my youth by hitting the trails on my bike. The cool breeze regulated the temperature of my body, which had been growing warmer due to the excercise. The sun peeked through the trees as if to envy the life below. I rode and rode and left a cloud of dust and dirt to sift away in the Texas wind.

As I continued to ride, without a care in the world, I stopped at a fallen tree. The other trees stood mightily and proud, but this tree was broken and looked sad. As I proceeded to turn around, I noticed that the fallen tree had blocked the smooth and easy trail. Without hesitation, I went left, smiling, knowing that this trail would pay off.

The sun knew as well, because he followed. The wind laughed and fought playfully with the dirt and I held on for the ride of my life. Who and what waited at the end of the journey was unknown. I am no longer asleep but the dream is far from over. I am still in the woords, playing with sun, laughing with the wind and following the rugged trail guarded by the trees.

The road less traveled is my rugged dirt path.

Robert Frost?

And traveled is spelled with one l.

Hmm, I like it. I like extended metaphors. _smile.gif
