my 1st thing ever was some crappy hair
my 2nd thing was a Napolean Dynamite vexel that every1 hated

so now i present:
PLEASE LEAVE ME COMMENTS WITH CRITICISM! IF THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT IT YOU DO NOT LIKE, TELL ME!

i dont think i've ever seen an animal vexeled before... :/

Well, here goes the progress report:

After 3 Hours:

*the white part around his eyes are choppy b/c i dont care about it b/c it will be covered with feathers anyway*

After 3 Hours:

*i started the head and u can see how i went over the white part of the eye, and it is no longer "choppy"*

After 5.5 Hours:

*i added more parts to the eye; added more detail to head and beak; and almost finished the head by getting the area under the eye*

After 6 Hours:

*not much added however i did add more detail to the head and SOME of the body, i hate the color...*

Wow that's pretty cool =]
But is it supposed to have the checkered boxes or did you want it to be transparent?

Ooh, very nice! Looks realistic too. The only thing that bothers me is the eyes; they look a bit... glassy to me. Sorry if that didn't make sense. I was also going to say that maybe yellow isn't the right color against black, but then I saw the original. Can't wait to see the finished version. Props on trying to vexel an animal instead of a person. :D

thats really original, and brave hahah your right, nobody does vexel birds much around here. it looks like your spending a lot of time on this which is good because it really shows in your work

only critism is to not to go into too much unessesary detail [lol that sounds wierd] but what i mean is dont follow the posterized lines tooo much beacause it kind of gives off this choppy feel. lol its weird to explain like the beak i personally feel should be really smooth but all the shapes of the layers are very curvy and yeahhh. ...dont take this too harshly beacause its not meant that way, its seriously a truly great vexel... sry if i didnt explain it cleary =(

I think that's very good for a third vexel.
I agree completely with mizz_americaz, be creative and spontaneous.
Following the posterize lines completely makes it look less..'arty'.
Think of it this way; Anyone can trace a picture, try to be original and different.
