backgrounds to about me, intrests etc, heeelp? Options

how do you put a background color to where it says about me. or, intrests, movies, the date of a comment.
if ne of you know what im talking about
please help!

change 000000 with a regular hexadecimal_color_code.

i put that code in, but it just shows up in letters. like you can see the code when you press preview.
i used bbz to edit my pf so i put the code under: add additional css html: but it came out the same.
