The curve sucks, I know. The average score for this test is, yes, a perfect 800.

But I'm taking it anyway (November 2006) because I need as many foreign language exams as possible for Penn Huntsman. So yeah, I searched Amazon for a prep book, and apparently, they don't exist. I have no clue how I'm going to study.

So my questions are:

(1) What is the format? How difficult is each section? How important is vocab, fluency, writing, grammar, knowing idiomatic/cultural phrases, etc.?

(2) Do prep books for this test exist?!

(3) What would you recommend doing in preparation for the test?

Oh pffft. I almost took this, but I quit Chinese school last year.

Anyway, there ARE chinese SAT booklets, I've seen them around. I heard that there's a traditional and simplified (boo) Chinese part

there's one part where there is pin yin, traditional, and simplified characters. they provide all 3 so you have an option of which one to read. its rather nice.
