sometimes out of randomness, i'll start getting the most excruciating pain down my lower back, lower and upper stomache. sometimes its like a deep sting that lasts for only a few seconds, and sometimes its a very long steady mild pain. but either way, it makes me want to arch my back like crazy or go into a fetal position. but when i curl in my stomache into the fetal position, my stomache burns heavily and i eventually have to sit straight up again. sometimes i cant even sit, i have to stand or else my lower back hurts. is this normal? it usually happens around the week before and/or after my period but i never hear of girls having this much pain! sometimes i even have to excuse myself out of school cause i cant concentrate on my work and it hurts so bad. i'll start getting really heated and sweaty and breath heavily. does anyone else experience this with cramps?

I don't, but it varies with each girl. Some don't get them at all, some get really really bad ones. If it's really hurting you that much, you should see a doctor. Which, I think you should.

see a doctor!! The worst that can happen is they tell you to deal with it, no harm done. I used to get horrible cramps. Then one day I passed out because of them. (I hadn't eaten because they would upset my stomach) My mom took me to a doctor and now im on the pill. Instead of taking the pills that cause my period, i throw them away and start a new month. I have 4 periods a year and bleeding is light!! How amazing is that!!

I would definitely see a doctor. My friend has really bad cramps and she gets prescription pain killers for when she's on her period.

4 periods a year from a pill. that doesnt seem bad at all but at the same time the side effects really worry me. i dont think i have the guts to be on a pill that can do so damage to my health lol.

i get bad cramps sometimes, but not as bad as what you described. i usually take ibuprofen, and within a half an hour they're gone...

yeah, talk to a doctor.

before i had my son i never had cramps, but after i had him, holy freakin crap mann, they hurt as bad as contractions sometimes, but yeah you might wanna go to a doctor to make sure everything is ok. . . another thing ppl often mistake pain for is gall bladder attacks, i had no idea i had a problem until i wound up in the ER with the worst pain in my stomach ever, turns out i have gall stones, and those attacks sometimes feel like heart attacks.

not amazing at all sweetie, you really shouldnt do that.
i know someone who took pills and the shot or whatever to not get her period, and then when she was like in her 30's she started hemmoraging (sp?) and almost died. the pill is a good idea because it regulates your period, BUT THERE IS A REASON FOR THOSE PILLS AT THE END OF THE MONTH TO GET YOUR PERIOD!!!!!
we have a period for a reason, let it flow wink.gif if your period is too heavy or you have really bad cramps, get on the pill or the patch, the patch works great and makes your period wayyy lighter and no cramps

that doesn't sound too healthy. >_>

cramps can hurt pretty damn badly. i just had some today, though i don't get them often. just take around a travel-pack of tylenol/advil with you just incase. ;]
