gym and eating., which should i do first?

I go to the gym as much as i can but the thing is going to the gym fits around the time dinner does. So what should i do first should i eat dinner and wait an hour to go to the gym or should i go to the gym first then eat when i come home?

i always ask myself this so what should i do first?

If you're fat or normal weight. Eat dinner before workout.
If you're skinny and want to gain weight and muscle, eat dinner after workout.

Go to the gym first! But don't go there starving.

It's just that when you exercise, your body doesn't digest any of the food you just ate, so it just sits there. It's recommended you do your heavy workout before indulging on a big meal.

I always find working out first to be better.
I suggest eating an energy bar before you workout,
and then later when you are all settled down after working out, then eat your dinner.

I find if i eat dinner before i work out, then i don't have a lot of energy to work out later.

and work out more than you eat. Calories/fats and workout are not equal in time.

You shouldn't eat right before you work out. Eat an energy bar before working out though and then after you're done, you're going to be really hungry (at least I get that way after I run a lot), so then you can eat.

probably before you eat? if you eat after, you might just end up gaining it all back. read the labels on your food and then add up all the calories. in order to loose weight, you have to, have to, HAVE TO excersize all of the calories you ate.

i asked the same question when i was working out about 2 years ago. what you do is work out first, but be sure to eat 4 - 6 times during the day. that means lower your portion intake. after your work out, depending on what day it is (ex: monday - arms/shoulders, etc) you should stack on the muscle gain with proteins and carbs. but be sure not to overeat on the carbs, because that turns into excess fat. drink plenty of water as well. :)

i usually eat 1-2 hours before i go to the gym, i dont think its a great idea to go RIGHT after you eat but i do that sometimes when i dont have the time to wait

and then i always eat something after i come back..
