I'm starting this big myspace project. It's a pageant/contest thing in search of Myspace's biggest role model. Right now I'm just brainstorming ideas. Here's what I have so far:

1. The first official contest title will be for the year of 2007. I, and two other judges, will be taking a good portion of year 2006 to look for candidates. The actual winner will be announced in late fall or early winter of 06.

2. I know that is quite a long time but I plan for this contest to be pretty big and well known throughout the myspace population, and we will need several months to get the word out so we can find an accurate candidate to hold the title, since there are so many myspace users out there.

3. Before the official contest, willing participants will need to pass several requirements to be considered for the actual contest. In other words, there is a small preliminary to the contest, like maybe some interview questions testing personality, education, other accomplishments, etc. If we don't do that, there may be too many contesants, and too many that aren't really qualified for the title. We are looking for the best of the best so we will have to do some narrowing down and this is the way to do it.

4. For the winner, I'm thinking she/he will receive free publicity on the internet, and maybe a cash prize even, or something else that I might think of.

Those are the main ideas I have so far. NOW a few things I need help with from YOU!

1. What should the official title of the contest be? I'm thinking either of "Miss Myspace Role Model" or "Myspace's Biggest Role Model" or do you have any other ideas for names for the contest?

2. Should I have a set age limit or should I allow it to be open for all ages?

3. Any other ideas or thoughts/comments, feel free to leave your input. Thanks!

This is considered advertising? I didn't mean to. The thing doesn't even exist yet...I'm just trying to get help for ideas.

Yea, I don't think this is advertising. Also, Myspace is one of our focuses here - making a topic involving Myspace isn't advertising anything that's not already blatantly promoted anyway.

What do you mean by role model? It would help to define what that means. Based on the criteria you list in point 3, it sounds more like a Who's Who than a Myspace role model.

How are you supposed to confirm the validity of their answers?

By role model, I mean a young woman (or man), who is of good moral character and that we (the judges) feel sets an outstanding example. In other words, an exceptional person for others to be able look up to. Someone smart, lots of personality, true to theirself, cares for others, successful, well rounded with a good head on their shoulders...very similar to a Miss America pageant and what they look for.

That's a good question. I'm thinking of either deciding by how well put together their answers are, rather than what their answers are. OR I might do the more subjective questions and anwsers be decided by a voting poll, where the majority rules which answer is best, instead of just us 3 judges decide.
